The annual Harris Tweed Bike Ride returns this Saturday, 20 April, giving the opportunity to win the coveted An Geansaidh Buidhe aka The Yellow Jersey.

Dress in your finest Tweeds, bring your own bicycle and join this sedate and civilised parade about town, there are pit-stops for refuelling and nourishment along the way so you don't over-heat in all your finery.

In the grandest traditions of the Tour de France the best-dressed rider receives Le Maillot Jaune aka An Geansaidh Buidhe aka The Yellow Jersey, specially knitted for the occasion.

The youngest winner gets The White Jersey. 

If you don’t own your own tweed, there will be an opportunity to try on some tweed from the Harris Tweed Authority collection, available in An Lanntair’s foyer on the day.

Ticket are £5, available from An Lanntair, which includes tea and a scone at the end of the ride.

Starting at 10am outside An Lanntair with stop-offs en route at Charles Macleod‘s (for black pudding), Lews Castle and the Harris Tweed shop (for additional refreshments and photographs).
