Niail Iain Macdonald is speeding up as his bid to row across the Atlantic Ocean extends almost to the end of a fortnight.

With continually changing weather patterns around him, he is now travelling at almost 1.7 knots, more than double the average speed for the voyage so far..

With almost 13 days gone by, he has travelled more than 265 nautical miles, covering 13 miles in the last 24 hours up to 5am today (Tuesday June 5th)
