Stornoway police have appealed for information after a number of unrelated vandalism incidents in the town over the past few days.

Between Thursday June 28th and Tuesday July 3rd damage was caused to a door at the depository at 8 Marybank, and police would like to hear from anyone who may know how it was caused or who may have witnessed the damage.

A Volkswagen Golf car was damaged while parked in Tesco’s car park, between 10am on July 3rd and 10.30am yesterday (Wednesday July 4th).

And police would also like to hear from anyone who heard or saw anything when a Sprinter van had a window smashed, while driving along Willowglen Road at 7pm on Wednesday (July 4th).

Police are especially keen to speak to anyone who was in the Castle Grounds or Willowglen area and who may have seen or heard the incident.

Anyone with information on any of these incidents is asked to call Police Scotland on the non-emergency number, 101.
