A 20-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving, after a road accident which closed the A857 Barvas road on Wednesday afternoon (February 6th).
Police were called to the accident, one mile north of Newmarket, at 3.30pm on Wednesday, where two cars had been involved in the accident, with one ending up on its roof.
No-one was injured in the accident.
The road was closed for a time to recover the vehicles and the driver of one of the cars is to be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
Later on Wednesday evening, a second accident caused the road to be closed on Barvas Moor for a time around 8pm.
Nobody was injured and no-one was charged following the second incident.
