Local Coastguard teams have returned home after assisting with a missing person search on the Isle of Raasay.

Teams from Stornoway, Ness and Bragar joined in the search for missing 72-year-old, Alistair Lovie.

The teams took part in an extensive search, which saw them join forces with Skye coastguard teams, Stornoway RNLI, Portree RNLI, the Skye Mountain Rescue Team, Scottish Fire and Rescue Sevice, Search and Rescue Dog Association and the police.

Local members of the community also assisted with the search for the missing pensioner.

Stornoway Coastguard reported that the search took place over "very challenging terrain, which covered areas of open ground, wooded areas and coastal strips."

The team stayed on Raasay until 3:30pm on Tuesday 2 April.

Sadly, Mr Lovie remains missing.
