Eight drivers were warned by police over the weekend of August 23rd to 25th, in a series of incidents on the road.

Police detected offences including careless driving, anti-social driving, driving without correct documentation and speeding, with fines being issued to most of the drivers.

They included a 21-year-old man and a 34-year-old man who were issued with fixed penalties after separate incidents of inconsiderate driving in Stornoway town centre, around 8pm on Saturday (August 24th).

An 81-year-old man was stopped for speeding in Coll on Saturday at 6.30pm and he has also been issued with a fixed penalty.
