Fresh from runaway success at Celtic Connections and the Barrowlands in Glasgow on Friday and Saturday, the new album by Hebridean phenomenon Peat & Diesel registered high in the UK charts on Sunday 26 January.

Light My Byre was recorded at Wee Studio in Stornoway.

Thousands greeted the band at the Barrowlands - https://youtu.be/9ppNv5WUePk

They were praised on welovestornoway.com Facebook page - "We were there last night and what a night, absolutely bouncing all night, well done Peat & Diesel for a fantastic night, can't wait for the next one."

And: "It was awesome! Wish we had tickets for Stirling."

On Instagram, Keith Morrison of Wee Studio said: "One of the biggest moments of my life. Two of my bands from my record label, Astrid and Peat & Diesel, are performing at a sold-out Barrowlands Ballroom tonight to mark their sold-out tour while our album Light My Byre is storming the UK album charts. I'm so overwhelmed. So proud of all the team."

Peat & Diesel attended a major publicity event at the Eastgate Centre in Inverness on their way back from Glasgow - and over the weekend their gig at the Barrowlands on November 27 sold out completely.

Earlier the BBC put out a special programme segment devoted to Peatlemania -
