Island footballer Rachael Johnstone is off on another international sporting tour, after being selected to play for Scotland once again.

Rachael, who signed for Celtic on her 15th birthday, a year ago today, has been chosen for the Scotland women’s under-17 squad as they head off to compete in the UEFA elite round in the Netherlands.

Goalkeeper Rachael is on the team-sheet for matches against the Netherlands on Saturday 14 March, Germany on Tuesday 17 and Croatia on Friday 20 March. All three matches will be played in the Netherlands.

16-year-old Rachael lives in Ballalan and attends Sir E Scott School in Harris. She fits a demanding training and match schedule around her schoolwork.
