The advert of Storm Conor today has meant the shutdown of the ferry routes between Berneray and Leverburgh, and also Eriskay and Barra because of the high winds.
For travellers between Harris and Uist there will be a direct sailing from Tarbert to Lochmaddy at 12:00 and a sailing from Lochmaddy to Tarbert via Uig at 13:55. If you plan to use this service as an alternative, please check-in no later than 45 minutes before departure.
CalMac Ferries say they will continue to provide regular updates regarding travel information based on up to date weather forecasts being received, and where possible review options for alternative travel arrangements.
As part of these changes it is the planned 09:30 from Tarbert to Uig that is delayed to 12:00 and will sail via Lochmaddy, arriving in Uig at 15:40.
Thereafter the normal timetable will operate.
The service between Ullapool and Stornoway is expected to run as timetabled this afternoon - no sailings were planned for this morning.
At Stornoway Airport, there are flights planned between here and Glasgow and Edinburgh in the afternoon with no delays expected at present.
The highest recorded wind gust in the previous set of gales, Storm Barbara, was 104.2 mph at the Scalpay Bridge, according to Comhairle nan Eilean Siar.
