Stornoway Golf Club is launching a direct appeal for feedback tomorrow (Thursday) from present and would-be female golfers to find out more about what the golf club could do to make provision for them.

The club say they “would like to invite ladies, past, present and hopefully future members to call into the Golf Club between 4.00-5.30pm on Thursday, 18th January.

“We would like to hear your views on any of the following, which is not an exhaustive list.

“How the Golf Club can best meet your needs?

“If you would like to play socially, maybe just one hour a week?

“If you would like to play competitively?

“Is equipment a problem?

“Is there any way that we could make playing any more accessible?”

The club says that this year they are focusing on trying to open the club up to new players of all ages and standards and would like to gather feedback as to how they can manage this.

They ask that anyone unable to make the get-together (tea & biscuits), please reply to this This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. They add: “Please try and make it and encourage any other lady who may or may not, have expressed an interest in playing golf.”
