The Clo Mor Harris Tweed Cycle Ride 2016 tweed-clad turn-out

The knitting needles are already in action in Kyles Scalpaigh creating this year's 'Geansaidh Buidhe' for the winner of An Lanntair's second 'Clo Mor – Harris Tweed Cycle Ride'.

Saturday, April 29th, will see islanders don their finest tweeds for a 'spiffing cycle' around Stornoway town and the chance of win the prestigious prizes of a hand knitted Geansaidh Buidhe (Yellow Jersey) and title of 'Best Dressed Rider'.

And this year there is also a 'Geansaidh Geal' (White Jersey) for the Best Young Rider.

Booking your place in the Clo Mor – Harris Tweed Cycle Ride is essential as numbers are limited; and all riders under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Once you have your place, at least one week before the Ride, participants will receive a welcome email and full instructions, a map of the cycle route around Stornoway, and details of timings.

The Ride finishes at An Lanntair for scones and jam, just in time for the start of the art centre's Food and Craft Festival day.
