After a sold-out run in Shetland, Orkney and Argyll, Scottish Ballet brings Matthew Bourne’s Highland Fling to Stornoway on Thursday and Friday this week (May 3-4) - and, after a slow start for ticket sales, they sold out here, too.

But now more seats haver been added to the layout for the two performance is at Lewis Sports Centre but you have to head to to buy one of these remaining tickets.

Highland Fling follows the downfall of James, a young Scot with sex, love and rock and roll on his mind.

Recently married to his beloved Effie, his addiction to excess finds him in the company of a wild, gothic fairy.

As his love for the strange and beautiful fairy becomes an obsession, James embarks on a fateful journey that takes him from the mean streets and nightclubs of Glasgow into a world beyond reality and reason.

In no small technical feat, audiences in these locations will enjoy the exact same full-scale production which is is being performed in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

To make this possible, Scottish Ballet's Technical Department transforms halls and gymnasiums into theatres.
