The Royal Caribbean cruise ship Brilliance of the Seas was passing Lewis and Harris this morning (Tuesday July 31st) on her way south towards Glasgow.

She was distinctly visible from Point as she headed down the Minch.

Brilliance of the Seas is a 13-deck family entertainment vessel of over 90,000 GRT, with her expanses of glass viewing areas a major selling point for passengers.

She’s active around Europe through the summer and in the Caribbean all winter, sailing out of Florida.

She is currently taking 2,500 passengers on a 13-day round-Britain cruise ending on August 8th.
