Strong winds and rough seas have led to the cancellation this afternoon (Friday November 9th) of ferry services between Oban and Castlebay, Tarbert, Uig and Lochmaddy and between Stornoway and Ullapool.
The MV Loch Seaforth will not return from Ullapool at 5.30pm, although she is expected to make her crossing from Stornoway this afternoon. The 10.30pm freight sailing is also cancelled.
An additional sailing has been scheduled to leave from Castlebay at 6am tomorrow (Saturday November 10th) to accommodate displaced traffic from today’s cancelled services.
This afternoon’s 2pm sailing from Uig, 4pm from Tarbert and 6pm from Uig to Lochmaddy have all been cancelled.
