A man who refused to turn down loud music and was abusive to police found himself in custody this morning (Friday January 18th).

Police were called to an address in Stornoway at 5.25 this morning, to reports that loud music was being played and was annoying other residents.

A 23-year-old man refused to desist from playing his music and became threatening and abusive.

He was taken into custody and charged with breach of the peace due to threatening and abusive behaviour, and playing music to the annoyance of others.

He’s to be reported to the Procurator Fiscal and released when sober.
