A young woman has received a recorded police warning following an incident in Stornoway yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 22nd January).

The 17-year-old was not arrested, but her behaviour at a public building in the town caused police to be called at 1.30pm, and she was subsequently charged with a breach of the peace.

A recorded warning stays on police record for two years, and can be taken into account if another crime is committed within that time.
