All are welcome to visit the newly opened respite care unit at Bethesda Care Home and Hospice today.

People are invited to a public opening, between 2pm and 4pm today, Wednesday July 13th, at the new unit on Springfield Road which has been created to provide nine new en-suite bedrooms and a sitting room area.

And tomorrow – Thursday, July 14th – Museum nan Eilean opens to the public for the first time at 10am.


The 7Scots pipe band will play in the Museum courtyard from 9.45am and Chair of the Lews Castle Project Board, Angus Campbell, will ring the Castle Bell to mark the public opening of the new museum.

There will also be entertainment in the afternoon from local band Faram.
