We have numerous job opportunities advertised on We Love Stornoway this week: 

Autoparts are looking for a full time Counter Staff member for their busy car parts and accessories shop in Stornoway. Candidates should have a good phone manner, a positive attitude and computer experience.  A driving licence is also desirable. The closing date is the 21st of July.

Providence Christian School (formerly LICS), an independent, non-denominational Christian school open to all children and based in Newmarket, Stornoway, are looking for a Class Teacher to join the team.  They offer a warm, friendly atmosphere, small class sizes and enthusiastic pupils. 

Lews Castle by Natural Retreats have several job opportunities on offer:  Team Leader, Housekeeper and General Assistant. Applicants should enjoy teamwork and be enthusiastic with a positive outlook.

RNLI require an experienced Coxswain for Stornoway Lifeboat Station.  Candidates should have all the necessary practical boat skills as well as exceptional leadership and management abilities.  The role will involve training crew and dealing with the public, and ensuring the lifeboat and equipment are in perfect working order.

Stag Bakeries also have a number of roles to fill (no pun intended!):  They require a dynamic, results-orientated and hard-working Sales Executive with sales experience (although training will be given).  

They are also looking for an Apprentice Baker with an interest in food manufacturing - this is  night-shift position of up to 39 hours per week.  The usual hours will be between 5pm and 1am, but may vary slightly.

And they require a Dispatch Operative.  This is a nigh-shift position too, also up to 39 hours per week, with the shifts usually being between 9pm and 5am, with nights off on rotation.

Finally, Stag have several vacancies for temporary Seasonal Staff to assist with manufacturing, packaging, wrapping of baked goods and cleaning, from July to December. These will be fixed term contracts of up to a maximum of 6 months.  Shifts will vary but will be up to 39 hours per week.

Stornoway Port Authority are looking for a Port Operative to work flexible shifts, servicing vessels arriving and departing Stornoway harbour, and carrying out maintenance around the port.  Some maritime knowledge would be preferred but experience is not necessary as training will be given.  The candidate will need a driving licence though, and the closing date for this job is the 13th of July.

Lewis Builders, a living wage accredited employer, have 3 opportunities: They are looking for a qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer with a recognised electrical qualification to join their growing team.

They also require a practical and methodical Quantity Surveyor with a minimum HND qualification and detailed knowledge of building and construction technology, along with the ability to work as part of a close team.

And they have a vacancy for an Electrician with experience in a domestic, commercial and industrial environments.  Candidates should have an up-to-date CSCS card and a full UK driving licence. 

The North Harris Trust, responsible for 70,000 acres of community land in Harris, seeks a Manager with strong leadership qualities and project planning and delivery experience, with a proven record of staff management.  Candidates should be committed to the principle of community ownership.  The closing date for this position is Friday the 7th of July, so not long left to apply!
