Lewis Pipe Band piped up to the Lews Castle Green before local songstress Eleanor Nicolson took to a packed Islands Stage to open the HebCelt 2017 main arena tonight.
Other performances included Tide Lines on the Island Stage; with headliners Dougie MacLean and Peatbog Faeries on the Mainstage.
And surrounding the music makers is plenty to keep festival goers – particularly those of younger years – fun-filled and busy.
An Lanntair’s Art Tent is a must visit for creatives who can make their own unique designed festival-goer for the art centre's mini-HebCelt.
And the black and white striped Magpie circus tent is another draw for those looking for some childish fun and games.
There’s also a smorgasbord of hospitality on offer with food and drink to ensure all can keep on festival-ing as the HebCelt gears up this weekend!
