The Leanne Fund committee members and Tea in the Tent organisers Nicola Libby and Cat Campbell are delighted by its success

Posh frocks and wellies helped raise more than £4,000 for The Leanne Fund this summer as island ladies enjoyed Tea in the Tent.
The event, held on Lews Castle Green in June, saw all enjoy a vintage tea party in a marquee, followed by a hog-roast barbecue and dance.
Guests were treated to an array of tasty sweet and savoury courses, along with musical entertainment from Rosie Sullivan, Eleanor Nicolson, Iain ‘Spanish’ MacKay and Catch 22 throughout the afternoon and on into the evening.

Tea in the Tent 2017 raised more than £4,000 which will directly support those affected by Cystic Fibrosis across the Highlands and Islands and Grampian regions via The Leanne Fund charity.
The proceeds will support The Leanne Fund’s two new projects – ‘On the Move’, aiming to support those making the move to live independently for the first time; and ‘Over the Rainbow’, which will offer an extraordinary wish-list or experiences for those in the final stage of illness.
