Tenant Participation Development Assistant (part time 17.5 hours per week)

Salary pro rata (depending on experience)  - up to £27,000 

Initially 1- year contract

TPAS have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic housing or community development professional. We are looking for a Tenant Participation Development Assistant initially for a 1-year contract with the possibility of extension depending on the success of the contract. The job is varied and involves tenant participation development support working with tenants and customers of Hebridean Housing Partnership across its area of operation.

Knowledge and experience of current housing issues and a commitment to tenant participation is essential. The post holder will be required to work closely with the Tenants Forum and other tenants’ groups to develop opportunities for tenants to get involved with HHP and ensuring tenants can maximise their influence on housing and related services. The successful candidate will be expected to develop new ways of engaging with ‘hard to reach’ groups and will also be able to carry out training for tenants’ groups and staff.

The successful candidate will be based in in Stornoway, and managed by TPAS Scotland, post involves travel across the Islands and some out of hours working. As an employee of TPAS Scotland the successful candidate would also be required to attend our team meetings and attend events.
