Lews Castle College students on the Access to Merchant Navy class went for a visit down to the Hebridean Isles ferry in Stornoway harbour on the afternoon of Thursday October 24th.  The Hebridean Isles is working as the temporary freight vessel on the Stornoway-Ullapool route while the Loch Seaforth is away for annual maintenance.

The course organisers say on Twitter: “Thanks to the Officers, and Crew of @CalmacFerries MV Hebridean Isles for showing @lccuhi's “Access to Merchant Navy” class around the vessel, and  demonstrating the professionalism, and dedication involved in a career at sea. @careersatsea @nautilusint @Seafarers_UK @MarineSociety.”
