Footballers will gather in force on Saturday night (December 15th) for the annual Lewis and Harris Football Association awards night.

LHFA player of the year awards and league medals will be presented at the home of 2019 league champions Point FC, Ionad Stoodie in Garrabost, with the evening’s guest speaker Sgire an Rubha councillor and former player Alasdair Macleod. 

Nominated for the award of senior player of the year are James Macleod and John Uig Morrison of Lochs, Elliot Ruddall from Point, Scott Graham who plays for Westside and James Titch Morrison and Michael Smith of Ness.

Three Point players are in the running for under-21 player of the year – Ally Wally Maciver, A Morrison and A MacDonald, with James Macleod flying the flag for Lochs. 

Goalkeeper of the year nominees are James Macleod of Lochs, Jack Maclennan for Stornoway United and Reece Montgomery of Stornoway Athletic.

Everyone who has an interest in local football is invited to be there on the night and LHFA has especially asked players who have been nominated for awards to make every effort to attend.
