Let's Circus performers draw in the crowds

HebCelt week brings many things to Stornoway – and one of the most loved by the both island and visiting youngsters are the daily ‘Let’s Circus’ shows, taking place in the Narrows in town from 12.30pm, where the international street theatre and circus troupe are guaranteed to fill the Stornoway streets with laughter and applause.

Also helping keep young audiences entertained during the festival are the free Family Concerts, held in Martin’s Memorial Hall, Francis Street, from 11am daily – the ideal opportunity for the wee ones to experience their first festival concert while parents can relax in the company of some fine musicians.

With the HebCelt main arena kicking off tonight at Lews Castle Green, the Cromwell Street shop and ticket office is a busy place to be today; but keeping revellers entertained while they wait were Willie Campbell and the Tumbling Souls, the first of a series of bands and artists set to rock the shop throughout the festival.
