Skilled at darts?  Then why not try your hand at the Western Isles Darts Festival, running from Monday 27 January to Saturday 1 February!

Over £5,000 in prize money is up for grabs at the festival.

Organised by the Stornoway Sea Angling Club, the event is the 16th of its kind.

Andy Dowie, who set up the festival, told today (Thursday 23 January): "Darts festival is now in its 16th year and starts Monday 27 January until Saturday 1 February and has lots of different competitions on each day and open to everyone.

"We have lots of players coming up from all over Scotland and some from England.

"The main event is on the Saturday when the open singles takes place we have had seven different winners in the last 15 years all taking place in the sea angling.

"Also great week to even just to watch some  fantastic darts."Andy

The event kicks off on Monday 27 with Early Bird Singles and the Area Cup.

On Tuesday 28, the Open 4 Man Team competition will start at 7pm.

Wednesday 29 will see the Western Isles Masters take place.

The Over 40's Singles and the Sea Angling Classic Singles will both be held on Thursday 30.

Various events, such as the Blind Draw Doubles, Open 3 Man Team, Open Doubles and Losers Doubles will be held on Friday 31.

The last day of the festival will see Mixed Doubles, Open Singles, Losers Competitions and Women's Singles all held.
