Training in a wide range of Microsoft Office applications is being offered by Lews Castle College from next week.
There is a range of flexible courses priced at £30 per subject area - all are at beginner level and start from Monday June 25th. They run throughout the year.
These are courses from the British Computer Society (BCS) which is a highly sought-after certification that covers the fundamental use of computers, internet, e-mail and applications software.
“The subjects are provided on a flexible basis which appeals to candidates who have previously completed BCS modules.
“Study materials are provided and candidates have access to support from lecturing staff with a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
“The BCS modules would be suitable for individuals looking for IT certification to improve a CV and employability, a starting point for returning to Education, as part of continuing professional development (CPD) or simply to improve their computer skills.
“Previous candidates have completed certification at levels 1/2 to improve their skill base prior to studying part-time/full-time where they have gone on to successfully achieve HNC/HND awards.
“There are a variety of candidates within the groups who can be working on different modules.
“The nature of the delivery provides them with one-to-one support as and when it is required.
“BCS training and certification has a proven track record for improving skills and providing the confidence to progress and achieve.”
