Stornoway's Stag Bakeries have won another international award for one of their products.

They announced overnight (Thursday October 1): "We are delighted to have received the prestigious 2-Star Great Taste award for our Parmesan & Garlic flavour Stornoway Water Biscuit."

They join an array of products from across the world. For instances, Rwanda's Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources tweeted:"On 29th September 2020, Great Taste, the world’s most trusted food and drink awards, has awarded Rwanda's forest honey a 3-start Great Taste for being extraordinarily tasty, 1-Star Great Taste for Rwanda's eucalyptus honey that delivers fantastic flavour."

And Firetree Chocolate said : "We are delighted to announce that each and every bar in our range of rich, volcanic chocolate received Great Taste Awards, with four of the entries gaining the highly sought-after two star awards. We know our farmers will be delighted to hear the news, too."  Firetree is based in Peterorough.

And Taste of Dublin announced: "Great Taste is the world’s largest and most trusted food and drink awards. They put your food and drink to the test with their panel of over 500 experts. This year Republic of Ireland producers won 396 Great Taste Awards!!"

The run of awards started almost 20 years ago. For instance, back in 2014, Stag Bakeries was celebrating another success at the Great Taste Awards, the world’s largest blind-tasted food awards. Sea Salt & Black Pepper Water Biscuit and Smoked Butter Oatcakes each received 2 Great Taste awards.
