Cancelled ferry sailings this morning (Monday 23 November) resulted from severe wind and sea conditions.

On the Sound of Barra normal sailings are expected to resume at 3:40pm, but remain liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.

The service between Uig, Lochmaddy and Tarbert is delayed by approximately two hours with the 11.50am departure from Lochmaddy now expected to depart at around 1.50pm, and following services delayed as a result.

Sailings between Mallaig/Oban and Lochboisdale are cancelled for the day, with an additional service scheduled for tomorrow, leaving Oban at 8am and expected at Lochboisdale at 1.45pm.

The longer passage time results from the vessel taking a route via the Small Isles due to the likely swell tomorrow.
