A chance to celebrate traditional Gaelic (Scottish or Irish) and Breton singing comes on Friday (5 March) with an online cèilidh hosted by Linn Phipps of Lower Bayble.

Srùbag is a monthly event which this month welcomes a young singer from County Armagh, Bláithín Mhic Cana, who will share the traditional style of Irish Gaelic song known as sean-nós.

Bláithín teaches at Gaelscoil Phádraig Naofa in Crossmaglen, and comes from a household steeped in folk-signing tradition. She’ll draw from the rich heritage and song tradition of South Armagh for her performance.

Srùbag is a participative event which welcomes people who would like to be there, but not to sing just yet!

The free event is on Friday from 7.30pm and is accessible via Facebook live and on Zoom at www.tinyurl.com/srubag, with more details and the event password from This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 07917 564440.
