Police in Stornoway are appealing for information after cyclist was knocked into a ditch on the A859 in Harris.
In the incident at around 3.50pm on Saturday 20 March, the man was cycling south between Tarbert and Direcleit when an articulated lorry struck him and knocked him from his bike and into the ditch.
The white articulated lorry continued on its journey south without stopping, but a passing driver stopped and helped the cyclist back onto his feet and to the roadside.
A Scottish Ambulance crew were called to the scene and assessed the cyclist’s condition, finding that he had luckily not been injured.
Police would like to speak with the woman who stopped to help cyclist at the roadside and to anyone else who may have information about the incident.
