The Calanais Visitor Centre is getting ready to welcome old and new faces this week, as the team prepare to open the doors tomorrow (Tuesday 4 May).
The visitor centre, which has been closed since December, will be reopening whilst following the Covid-19 regulations in place. The café, shop, exhibition will be fully opened from 10am to 4pm on a Tuesday to Saturday. The Calanais Standing Stones, as always will be open to visit 24/7.
In the first week, the café will be running a limited menu whilst the new team are getting trained up, and then the full menu will be served from Tuesday 11 May.
The Calanais Post Office located within the visitor centre will also reopen on Tuesday 11 May at 10am.
Victoria Harvey, Front-of-House Supervisor said: ‘We are so excited to welcome visitors back into the building after what has been such a difficult time for all.
"As before, safety measures are in place to ensure everyone can have a great visit with one way systems in place, distancing, masks essential and indoor and outdoor seating with views over Loch Roag.
"We encourage everyone to have a look over our website before you visit where we have comprehensive guidance on what to expect when you are visiting. Once again, we are so excited to welcome you all back."
