A week in a getaway location on the shore at Ardroil is the top prize in a raffle launched this week by Neuro Hebrides.
The week at Corncrake Cottage in Uig, to be taken by December 2024, heads a list of quality prizes from island businesses like Harris Tweed Hebrides, Delights and Charlie Barleys.
Artwork, dinner for two and vouchers for the Fishermen’s Co-op and Manor Filling Station are also among the prizes, which have something for everyone at just £2 a ticket.
Neuro Hebrides are running the draw via https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/neurohebrides1 to build funding for their work supporting anyone in the Western Isles who lives with, or cares for someone with a neurological condition.
That work includes their weekly cuppa and catch-up meetings, which now alternate between face-to-face meetings at the Fàilte Centre on Bayhead and Zoom meetings for people still being careful of social contact.
Founded in 2013, the group became a registered charity in 2019 and now has well over 100 members.
With the support of the local community, they continue to expand their programme to meet the needs of those living with neurological conditions. That includes offering support to people newly diagnosed with a neurological condition and campaigning on a variety of local issues.
