Play sessions for babies and children up to three years old are to restart from tomorrow (Tuesday 26 October) – and it’s all in Gaelic.
The sessions for very young children and their parents/carers are organised by Thig a Chluich Eilean Siar, who promise relaxed, fun, informal, play sessions, in a supportive environment that encourages the use of Gaelic.
The free to attend sessions are supported by Bòrd na Gàidhlig and Comann nan Pàrant. They don’t need to be booked and there’s time at every session for play, craft, stories and songs.
After tomorrow’s first session at the Fàilte Centre on Bayhead in Stornoway (10-11.30am) there’s weekly sessions in Stornoway and Thursdays see the Thig a Chluich team hitting the road to the Timsgarry community centre in Uig, Shawbost Old School, Spòrs Nis in Ness and Tarbert Community Centre.
