NHS Western Isles are actively looking for a group of volunteers to take part in a long trial from February 2022 to April 2022.
This trial will involve downloading the Chatpal app and using it for 12 weeks.
NHSWI say: "We will ask you to complete a survey at the beginning, mid-point and end of the trial. It is anonymous and we will not store any personal details.
"There are questions to allow us to seek feedback around what you think about the app and how you feel when using the app.
"All answers to these questions are recorded anonymously."
More information on ChatPal can be found here on this short video link ChatPal Project - YouTube
You are eligible to participate if you;
- Live in a rural area in the Western Isles (no criteria – only that you consider it rural)
- Have never had a mental health diagnosis at any stage in your lifetime
- Have not had suicidal thoughts and behaviours in the past year
- Are aged 18 years old or older
Interest is welcome from people who live outwith the Western Isles (and who consider themselves to be living in a rural area in Scotland).
This invitation and the study to which it applies have been approved by the Ulster University Research Ethics Committee.
The Chatpal app is available in English or Scottish Gaelic.
