Three people are to appear in court from custody after separate incidents over the weekend.

A 29-year-old man was arrested at 6am on Saturday (22 January) after police were called to the Goathill Road area of Stornoway.

The man was charged with breach of bail conditions set following an earlier offence, and is appearing at Inverness Sheriff Court, by video link from custody today (Monday).

Also in custody for a court appearance today is a 27-year-old man, who was arrested in the Sandwick Road area at 12.30pm on Sunday and charged with breach of the peace.

Police were called to an address in Newmarket at 4am this morning to a report of disorder.

A 23-year-old woman was arrested and charged with breach of the peace. She is being kept in custody at Stornoway police station for a court appearance by video link tomorrow (Tuesday).

 

Town centre vandalism

Police are looking for public help tracing the perpetrators of vandalism to a house on Keith Street in Stornoway.

The damage, which took place some time between 23 and 26 December 2021, was caused by graffiti to the walls which cannot be removed.

Anyone who saw or knows anything about the incident is asked to contact Stornoway police using the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number NH69/22.
