The MV Hebrides - only just returned from emergency repairs after an incident involving the pier at Lochmaddy - is now having to run additional services to cope with new challenges facing those trying to repair MV Lord of the Isles and return her to service from Lochbsoisdale.
CalkMac ferries announced yesterday (Thursday May 26) that repairs are still ongoing.
"Some sections of pipework have been found to be in a worse condition than expected. As a result the vessel is not yet available for service.
"We are currently working alongside the yard to a agree a plan to return the vessel to service.
"Therefore all sailings up to and including Sunday 29th May are now cancelled."
Today (Friday 27 May) MV Hebrides will operate the following additional sailing:
Depart Lochmaddy - 20:40
Arrive Uig - 22:25
Depart Uig - 2240

To prioritise cancelled traffic from Mallaig and Lochboisdale, this can only be booked by calling 0800 066 5000.
Additional crew have been arranged in order to operate additional sailings on the Sound of Barra service.
Connections from South Uist to Oban and Oban to South Uist are now available via Barra.
