Hebridean Housing Partnership has confirmed that a proposed housing development in Knockintorran, North Uist, has passed an important milestone.
Though still in the very early stages of development, the affordable housing project has received the green light to proceed with a full feasibility study.
A statement from HHP says: “A desktop study has been carried out by the Comhairle, and their recommendation was to proceed to a full feasibility study which will involve a site visit to check the ground conditions etc. The recent survey we carried out showed there is sufficient demand for homes in Knockintorran, so we have instructed a full feasibility study.”
The feasibility study results will be presented to the Hebridean Housing Partnership’s board to weigh up the findings and decide whether to proceed to tender for the housing development.
