The remains of the late Fr. Donald Ewen Campbell will be arriving on the Lochboisdale ferry this afternoon (Friday September 23) with Vigil Prayers and Reception in St Peter’s, Daliburgh, at 6 pm.

A Requiem Mass is scheduled for Saturday at 11 am in St Peter’s.

The main celebrant will be Bishop Brian McGee of Argyll and the Isles. The interment will be at Hallan Cemetery.

Fr. Campbell was born in South Uist and studied at Blairs and Valladolid.

In July, he celebrated 50 years in the priesthood. Before retiring, he had served in several parishes across the Diocese of Argyll and the Isles.
