UHI Outer Hebrides are urging the public to “bring a toy and give joy” this festive season.
The toy appeal is to help local families whose kids face a bleak Christmas this year without a gift.
UHI Outer Hebrides, formerly Lews Castle College, commented on their online appeal: “You can help us spread the joy of Christmas to families whose children would otherwise not receive a gift. This year, we are expecting the number of families requesting help to rise as a result of the cost-of-living crisis.”
You can donate a toy by dropping it off at UHI student services on the Stornoway campus by December 14.
All the donations will then be taken to Action for Children in time for Santa to pack his sack.
