Step aside, Battle of the Bands! The real crunch match – the black pudding championship – takes place on Friday, December 2, in Tarbert Community Centre.

The marag dubh showdown is just one of the attractions at the Hebridean Fine Food and Drink Festival being staged in Harris.

The fun, festive foodie event will also feature live cooking demonstrations, food samples, a cafe, numerous local businesses, and Christmas gift shopping.

The festival is sponsored by Flavour and kicks off at 10am and will run until 4pm.
