Expressions of interest are being invited by the Western Isles Development Trust for project funding from community organisations.
Funds are now available, and applicants are advised to submit their project proposals in time for consideration by the next board meeting on January 26.
A registered charity, the trust oversees funding from renewable energy projects. It applies this finance to support community organisations in the islands.
The type of community projects that can access this latest tranche of grant money are initiatives that will support fuel poverty alleviation and promote renewable energy schemes.
“The trust is currently inviting applications for funding that will specifically meet those criteria. Projects that meet the Trust’s wider objectives may submit a project enquiry; however, the above criteria will be prioritised,” comments the Trust.
Eligibility details and how to apply for funding are available on the trust website.
