With the approach of the 2023 planting season, Tagsa Uibhist has issued an appeal for volunteers to help out at the community gardens in Balivanich.

Roles vary throughout the year and include plant care, harvesting, site care, and maintenance work.

“Whilst the volunteering experience does not involve formal training, we hope that volunteers will enjoy ‘learning by doing’ through working alongside the Community Gardeners who are always happy to share their knowledge,” explains Tagsa Uibhist.

The community group has launched a dedicated volunteer page on the Tagsa Uibhist website.

The community gardens are at East Camp, Balivanich.
