Retrospective planning consent

North Harris Trust is applying for retrospective planning permission for their agricultural goods retail unit in Urgha.

The retail unit is located at the rear of the North Harris Community recycling site and stocks animal feeds and fencing materials.

In their application to the Comhairle, the community-owned trust states that the sales operation has grown organically over the past year as the recycling operation has “got back up to speed post-COVID.”

The retail outlet, they explain, was started on a trial basis and has now grown sufficiently that a decision was made to formalise the operation.

The retail outlet comprises a storage container and a portable building.
