A major event combining fundraising and gin-tasting is taking place at the Caladh Inn on Saturday 11 February, starting at 7.00pm.

Ambassadors from Isle of Harris Distillery in Tarbert; North Uist Distillery in Nunton Steadings, Benbecula; and Isle of Barra Distillers in Castlebay will be presenting their own gins and cocktails.

This is the first time that all three distilleries have come together under the same roof and presented their gins in a tasting event together.

All three distilleries have donated their time and products free of charge to help raise funds.

There will be live music, courtesy of local musicians, Willie Campbell and Jane Hepburn. They have also both donated their services free of charge.

There will also be a raffle with great prizes to be won, say the organisers from The Island Spirit Whisky Shop in Stornoway.  

The Caladh Inn have provided the venue free of charge and they are also offering reduced room rates for anyone who would like to attend but requires overnight accommodation.

Tickets priced at £45 per person are available from The Island Spirit Whisky Shop at 38 Cromwell Street, Stornoway.
