A man has been charged with dangerous driving after a two-car collision on the Lochs road yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 14 February).

The 59-year-old man was the driver of a Landrover vehicle which made an overtaking manoeuvre.

The collision happened on the A859 between Marybank and Leurbost, close to the Loch Leiniscal quarry, at 4.04pm yesterday.

Police were called to the scene and the road was closed for a short time, while debris was cleared from the carriageway and the vehicles were recovered.

Police said there were no injuries.

The man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal, with further action to be determined.
