Some places are still available for the 3 Islands Marathon in August, say the organisers.

The 3 Islands Marathon will take place on Sunday, August 12, starting from Our Lady of The Isles Statue in Gerinish.

The route is open road all the way to the finish line at Lochmaddy Hotel.

The entry fee is £25. To register, complete the online form.

The event operates as a four-stage running event, taking in South Uist, Benbecula, and North Uist. The marathon can be run solo, in pairs, or as a team.
