Community groups are being reminded by Comhairle nan Eilean Siar that the application deadline for Crown Estate funding is looming.
The Comhairle has set aside £1.1m of funding from Crown Estates Revenues to support community projects across the Western Isles.
But the application cut-off point - noon on Friday, March 31 - is fast approaching.
The Crown Estate Revenues Fund will be distributed to community groups seeking to improve infrastructure and economic development in their area. Each Ward area has the opportunity for groups to bid for up to £100,000 in total.
Comments the Comhairle: “Engagement throughout the process will be required by Ward area forums to identify local needs and aspirations. Ultimately, local people decide.”
Application information can be obtained from the Comhairle’s Crown Estate Revenues Fund – Year 4 web page.
