A small number of tickets for the Metagama commemoration event in Coll next week will be made available today (Tuesday, March 14).
Due to the ticket allocation for the parents of Tong and Sgoil a’ Bhac pupils taking part, only a limited number of tickets are available for the general public.
The tickets are available from Gordon Diesel’s in Back.
The event is free to attend, but a silver collection for Bethesda will be made at the door.
The event will take place at Coll Community Centre on Tuesday March 21, at 7pm. Pupils from Sgoil a’ Bhac and Tong will showcase their acting, singing and musical skills in what promises to be a memorable evening.
Coinneach ‘Mòr’ MacIver produced the script and will also appear on stage in the role of ‘seanchaidh’. As part of the evening, Back and Tong Gaelic choirs will perform as well as local esteemed singers Margaret Stewart, Bell Ann Martin and Iain ‘Costello’ MacIver. Calum Martin and pupils will be showcasing psalm precenting skills which have been developed during this project.
Additional support from Neil Johnstone, fiddle tutor, and James Duncan MacKenzie, piping instructor, will also feature on the evening.
