The seven-mile Bosta beach circular walk is featured in the March online edition of the BBC Countryfile Magazine.

The spread by Countryfile contributor Feargal MacErlean hails Great Bernera as “one of the most lovely Scottish islands.”

He recommends devoting 4.5 hours to the walk, which starts in Hacklete and continues to Tób Bhalasaigh and the coast, often frequented by otters.

The walk then takes in Tobson, Loch Sgial, the reconstructed Iron Age House at Bosta, and Loch na Muilne, a haunt for herons.
