1 – 7 June 2023 Volunteers' Week
‘Celebrate and Inspire’
This year the UK wide Volunteers’ Week theme is ‘Celebrate and Inspire’
With this theme we nationally aim to highlight that our diversity is our strength, show that there is more than one way to volunteer and encourage people to be the change that we want to see. Volunteers are always active at the heart of every UK community so taking the time during Volunteers’ Week to celebrate and recognise their efforts and all they contribute to our local communities; the voluntary sector as a whole has never been more important.
When celebrating with your volunteers this year, take a moment to recognise and remember each of them, past and present. From trustees to befrienders and fundraisers, it’s a great time to think about the fantastic contribution all volunteers make.
Volunteers’ Week is also a great time to inspire new volunteers. By asking your current or past volunteers to share their volunteer stories could inspire someone new to sign up and get involved.
